Updated:

Trevor Lawrence suffered what appeared to be a gruesome ankle injury in the Jacksonville Jaguars Week 13 loss to the Detroit Lions. Luckily, after a trip back to the locker room, Lawrence was able to return to the game.

Regardless, that didn't take away some worry and questions around his vailability for Week 14. Jags head coach Doug Pederson provided an update on Lawrence on Monday, saying that he will have an MRI and then the team will know more about his availability moving forward then.

He did encouragingly add that he "thinks things are trending in the right direction."

Lawrence has been really solid for the Jaguars this year, taking a big step from last season, and Doug Pederson is considered to be a big reason for that. Lawrence has thrown 17 touchdowns, compared to just six interceptions, with a 65.6 completion percentage and a passer rating of 92.8. Losing him would be a massive blow, even though the Jaguars are pretty close to being mathematically eliminated from the playoffs.

Jacksonville will go up against the Tennessee Titans in Week 14, where the Jaguars are 3.5-point road underdogs, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's latest NFL odds.
