The Miami Dolphins have been plagued by injuries throughout the 2022 season. Now with the playoffs approaching, Miami still has major health concerns on key players, including quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

Unfortunately, it turns out another starter is in jeopardy of missing the team's Wild Card game against the Buffalo Bills.

Running back Raheem Mostert suffered a broken thumb in Week 18 against the New York Jets, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The insider adds that Mostert's status is now "in doubt" for Sunday.

This is just another injury blow to Miami. Tagovailoa, his backup in Teddy Bridgewater and star left tackle Terron Armstead are just a few of the major contributors currently banged up heading into the postseason. That's not even to mention the losses on defense, like Byron Jones, Brandon Jones and Trill Williams.

Mostert had avoided any big health issues this year, which allowed him to put together a career campaign. The eighth-year pro set his personal high with 14 starts and 891 rushing yards in 2022. He also crossed the 1,000-yard mark from scrimmage for the first time ever.

Mostert's status will be a key factor to watch as the Dolphins prepare for Wild Card Weekend. Backup Jeff Wilson would be thrust into a heightened role against Buffalo if Mostert can't go.
