Tua Tagovailoa has been at the center of the NFL injury world for the past few weeks. After suffering what everyone though to be a concussion, but turned out to be a "back" injury, followed by an actual concussion the following week.
His injuries and the way it was handled by the Miami Dolphins has prompted the NFL to entirely reshape their concussion protocol.
Tua Tagovailoa Injury Update
Now after being out for a few weeks, the Dolphins got a great update on Tua's health, he has officially been cleared for football activities. He will be returning to practice next week at the team prepares for Week 7.
The timeline for Tua was completely up in the air. The team was going to be as cautious as possible, as evidenced by them sending the 24 year old quarterback to see multiple specialists.
Ultimately the short and long term health of Tua takes precedent over anything football related, and at times throughout this process, people have accused the Dolphins of reversing those priorities.
If all goes to plan and Tua remains in good health throughout practice next week, you have to assume he's got a good chance at starting in Week 7. The team hasn't fared too well without him.
