Super Bowl Sunday is here, which means football fans will finally get to see legendary tight Rob Gronkowski attempt a live field goal as part of FanDuel's Kick of Destiny promotion during the Big Game. There is serious money on the line, as FD will be splitting a $10 million pool of bonus bets if Gronk makes the kick.

Did Gronk Make the Kick of Destiny Field Goal?

Update (9 p.m. ET): Rob Gronkowski did not make the Kick of Destinty. He missed left of the goalpost. However, despite the miss, those that were eligible will still be credited with some bonus bets to their FanDuel account.

It was hard to tell in real-time, but if you take a look at the kick again below you can see the ball pass in front of the left goal post after the heavy winds carried the ball away from what originally looked like a great trajectory

The field goal will be from 25 yards out, which would be a gimme for an NFL kicker. However, despite playing in the league for 11 years, Gronk suited up at an entirely different position. Gronkowski did tell Kay Adams of the Up and Adams show that he once hit a 33-yard attempt in high school, though, so he has the leg for it.

All eyes have been on Gronkowski since it was announced he'd be attempting this all-important field goal. FanDuel even managed to get a clip of the FG Gronk made in high school, proving he has this in him.

Recently, Gronkowski went toe-to-toe with Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe in a give of life-sized paper football at FanDuel's Super Bowl Party. Gronk even pulled off the win, putting everybody on notice for Sunday.
