David Carr Makes Ominous Tweet on Derek's Split From Raiders

Updated:

Derek Carr's sudden split from the Las Vegas Raiders is one of the biggest stories from the 2022 season. This saga is just beginning, though, as it remains to be seen how the situation ultimately resolves itself.

Many will weigh on Carr's future in Las Vegas in the meantime. Carr's brother, David, has promised to provide some clarity in the coming days.

David, who currently works for NFL Network, said there "isn't enough time" to cover the entire situation on TV. However, he says there's a "few things" he needs to "get off [his] chest" and will discuss more on a podcast soon.

David promises "everyone" will get a "good idea" of what's going on with his brother's rift with the organization.

News of Carr being demoted from starter took seemingly took the entire football world by surprise even if the Raiders had hinted at the possibility. He's admittedly struggled in 2022 after an impressive 2021 campaign, but no on expected him to be usurped by Jarrett Stidham down the stretch.

Carr's deteriorated relationship with the franchise that drafted him in 2014 now opens up the door for a move elsewhere in 2023. Where Carr lands in a potential trade will undoubtedly be a huge story throughout the league this offseason.
