Davante Adams Posts Emotional Response to Derek Carr Benching

The entire season has been a rollercoaster for the Las Vegas Raiders, and this week has been no different. The team received shocking news on Wednesday that quarterback Derek Carr was being benched after a recent rough stretch.

Raiders top receiver Davante Adams did not agree with the decision, taking to social media to voice his frustration.

Adams was clearly shaken up by the news, as he and Carr have battled together in college and the pros. The star receiver called Carr "one of the most disciplined and loving people I know" and even went so far as to say the QB is the reason for Adams being a Raider.

Adams' reaction isn't surprising given his obvious connection with Carr since their college days. Adams has thrived after being reunited with Carr, catching 12 of his 24 touchdown passes this year and racking up 1,290 receiving yards on 88 receptions.

With Carr benched for Week 17, Adams will have to adjust to a new quarterback once again with Jarrett Stidham under center. The Raiders are currently listed as 9.5-point home underdogs against the San Francisco 49ers on FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds.
