Davante Adams Gives Important Update on Raiders' Future Amidst Derek Carr Drama

On the heels of their first playoff appearance in nearly half a decade, the Las Vegas Raiders held lofty expectations in 2022. That all came crashing down as Las Vegas will limp to a sub-.500 record and miss the postseason. To make matters worse, the team benched quarterback Derek Carr in suspicious conditions.

The Carr drama, naturally, brings a question about superstar wide receiver Davante Adams and his overall happiness with the organization and some potential questions about his future. His relationship with Carr as Fresno State teammates was a major selling point to his arrival this past offseason.

Adams provided an important update on his future in Las Vegas amidst the Carr drama.

According to a report from team insider Vincent Bonsignore, Adams is still all-in on his new team. He discussed a strong working relationship with Dave Ziegler and Josh McDaniels, and said he "absolutely" wants to return next season.

Adams' current contract didn't leave a ton of options for him demanding an exit from Las Vegas, but this is still a huge sigh of relief for Raiders nation. The superstar wideout even discussed his excitement over providing "input" for a potential new quarterback search.

The Raiders can rest easy knowing they'll still have one of the best receivers in football lining up for them in 2023. Adams ranks third in the league with 1,443 receiving yards and first amongst pass-catchers at 14 touchdowns.
