D'Andre Swift Not Happy With Usage After Return From Injury

Updated:

Detroit Lions running back D'Andre Swift has been dealing with injuries virtually all season. After recently returning from a three-week absence, he hasn't exactly been a huge part of the offense.

The Lions' coaching stuff suggested that despite getting back on the field, Swift still wasn't 100% healed from his injuries, and that might affect his playing time. That caused Swift's snap count to actually drop in Week 9 after returning in Week 8, which has rubbed him the wrong way.

When asked about this disparity, Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson had this to say:

It seems like there is a disconnect between how healthy Swift thinks he is and how healthy the Lions think he is. Granted, it's not like Swift has been blowing up the stat sheet since returning, but the other side is he hasn't been given a whole lot of opportunity.

We all know how dynamic and dangerous Swift can be when he's right, but that still might not be the case.

Swift remains questionable in Week 10 when the Lions go up against the Chicago Bears. Detroit is a 3-point road underdog ahead of that game, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's latest NFL odds.
