Cowboys vs Eagles Prediction, Odds & Best Bet for Sunday Night Football Week 6

Updated:

First place in the NFC East is on the line when the Dallas Cowboys visit the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football in Week 6. The Cowboys have won four straight games with quarterback Cooper Rush filling for the injured Dak Prescott. Meanwhile, the Eagles have gotten off to their best start since 2004 with a 5-0 record and remain the only undefeated team in the NFL.

Cowboys vs Eagles Odds

According to FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds, Philadelphia is a heavy -290 favorite on the moneyline (6.5-point spread) in a game with an over/under of 42.5.

What should NFL fans expect in this exciting divisional clash, and where can bettors find value?

Cowboys vs Eagles Prediction and Best Bet

The Cowboys have gotten the better of the Eagles as of late, winning seven of their last nine games in this divisional rivalry. Philadelphia has taken things to another level in 2022, though. Head coach Nick Sirianni has his players fired up and his balanced roster is leading to wins.

Think about it like this. The Eagles rank second in yards per game (419.8) and fifth in points per game (27.0) so far this season. Philadelphia also ranks fourth in yards allowed per game (294.4) and seventh in points allowed per game (17.6). Excelling on both sides of the football is difficult to do in the NFL.

Rush has led the Cowboys to four straight wins, but it has not been because of his play on the field. The former Central Michigan standout is averaging only 167.8 passing yards per game and a measly 7.1 yards per attempt. Dallas is putting up just 18.6 points per game this season, which ranks 24th in the NFL.

The Cowboys' defense has looked stellar, but it has yet to face an offense as potent as the Eagles. Home-field advantage comes into play here, too, so I'll back Philadelphia -6.5 as well as under 42.5 points. The under has hit in five of Dallas' last six games and in four of Philly's last six games.
