Life has been good to the Philadelphia Eagles thus far during the 2022 NFL regular season. The only remaining undefeated team in football, Philadelphia is finally facing their first true test of adversity.
Just days before an NFC East battle with the Dallas Cowboys, and their fierce defense, Philadelphia has been ravaged by injuries on the offensive line. Four of the five members of their o-line, outside of Lane Johnson, are listed as questionable because of various ailments.
That includes center Jason Kelce, the anchor of this unit. Unfortunately, some concerning news around Kelce rose from the team's practice on Thursday.
Eagles insider Tim McManus reported Kelce took a trip to the medical tent during Thursday's practice. While McManus didn't want to jump to conclusions, he mentioning seeing Kelce "wincing after one of his reps during individual drills."
Kelce picked up an ankle sprain on his left foot during Week 5, and perhaps this trip to the medical tent stems from continued pain with that issue.
Only time will tell if Kelce takes a step back on the injury report. He logged a limited particpation during Wednesday's practice.
The Cowboys defensive line is no joke. This is a unit that ranks second in sacks (20) and leads the league in QB pressures (73) by almost 10 over the Kansas City Chiefs. Jalen Hurts could have his hands full if any of his offensive lineman are limited in Week 6 action.
For now, the Eagles enter this NFC East clash as heavy 6.5-point home favorites per NFL odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.
