Colts vs Titans Prediction, Odds & Best Bet for Week 7

Updated:

Week 7 of the 2022 NFL season is here, bringing a few exciting rivalry matchups. The AFC South will be in action this Sunday as the Indianapolis Colts face the Tennessee Titans on the road. The Colts hope to find their fourth win in their last five tries while the Titans look to extend their three-game winning streak as they come off their bye week.

Whoever wins this game will sit atop the AFC South when the week is over. Can the Colts put their poor start behind them with another win? Or will the Titans pick up their fifth straight win against their divisional rivals?

Colts vs Titans Odds

According to FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds, the Titans are a clear -142 favorite on the moneyline (2.5-point spread) in a game with an over/under of 41.5.

What should NFL fans expect in this matchup, and where can bettors find value?

Colts vs Titans Prediction and Best Bet

Matt Ryan finally looked like the quarterback the Colts thought he'd be last week. The former MVP completed 42-of-58 passes for 389 passing yards and three touchdowns against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Now, he faces a Titans defense that's given up the most passing yards in the NFL this season, including an average of 323 over their last three games.

Even though the Titans already beat the Colts back in Week 4, the latter has clearly found their confidence. Outside of Derrick Henry, Tennessee doesn't have too many threats that Indianapolis should be worried about.

Besides, the Colts have held Henry to just one touchdown in the last three meetings. Sure, he tends to hit the 100-yard mark more often than not against them, but the fact is that the Colts know how to stop him from finding paydirt.

With the Colts owning a solid run defense and the Titans not having much of a passing game, I think that Indy can pull off the upset win here. The Colts finally have an offensive line combo that works, Jonathan Taylor should be back in the fold and the defense has stepped up in recent weeks.

As far as best bets go, I'll take the Colts at +120 on the moneyline. I'm also backing the total hitting over 41.5 points. Though both sides tend to hit the under lately, the average total over their last six games is 52.8 points, finishing with 42 or more in four of those matchups.
