Week 2 of the 2022 NFL season includes a showdown between the Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars. The Colts are coming off one of the most embarrassing performances of Week 1 that saw them tie the lowly Houston Texans, 20-20. Jonathan Taylor was Indianapolis' lone bright spot, turning 31 carries into 161 rushing yards and a touchdown.

The Jaguars couldn't get the win in Week 1 either, coming up short against the Washington Commanders to the tune of a 28-22 final score. Wideout Christian Kirk had 117 catches on six receptions in his team debut, while running back James Robinson looked more like his old self with a pair of rushing TDs.

Jacksonville is now just a 3-point underdog (opened as 4.5-point underdogs). That is reflected on the moneyline, as well. The over/under point total fell three points to 43.5.

The Colts enter this contest as the favorite on the moneyline and the spread. This 1 p.m. ET clash also features a total of 46.5, which is about average compared to this week's NFL projected totals.

The Colts are a better team than they showed last week and be able to find success in Jacksonville. While handing the ball to Taylor will help, it'll be important for Indianapolis quarterback Matt Ryan to establish chemistry with his weapons against a Jaguars secondary that gave up 305 yards through the air last week.

If the Colts get linebacker Shaq Leonard back from injury, their defense could be too much for Trevor Lawrence and co. to handle. Leonard does a lot of defensive directing and had he played against Houston in Week 1, the outcome likely would've been different.

The young Jaguars still have a lot of learning to do and I expect the Colts to teach them a lesson Sunday — especially after last year's Week 18 loss.
