Date: Sunday, October 23, 2022
Time: 4:25 p.m. ET
Venue: Levi's Stadium — Santa Clara, CA

Two teams in need of a bounce-back win meet head-to-head in Week 7 as the Kansas City Chiefs visit the San Francisco 49ers. The Chiefs fell short by a score of 24-20 against the Buffalo Bills in Week 6. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw 2 costly interceptions, one of which sealed the game.

Meanwhile, the 49ers couldn't find their groove on offense in a 28-14 loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. San Francisco was shut out in the second half and racked up only 50 yards on the ground. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo also tossed his second and third interception of this NFL season.

Moneyline: KC: (-118) | SF: (+100)
Spread: KC: -1.5 (-108) | SF: +1.5 (-112)
Total: 48.5 — Over: (-115) | Under: (-105)

Updated (Sunday, Oct. 23, 12:30 p.m. EST): The Chiefs enter this contest as a small road favorite on the moneyline and the spread, which has gotten narrower since the Christian McCaffrey trade. This 4:25 p.m. ET clash also features one of the higher totals on the Week 7 slate at 48.5 points.

Chiefs vs 49ers Prediction & Pick

The 49ers are a sneaky contender in the NFC, but they simply don't have the talent to keep up with the Chiefs on the scoreboard right now. While San Francisco is averaging a respectable 25.5 points per game at home, Kansas City is averaging a league-best 34.0 points per game on the road in 2022.

Keep in mind Kansas City is 4-1 straight up in its last five games against San Francisco and is 7-0 straight up in its last seven games against a NFC opponent. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes will find a way to avoid back-to-back losses as Harrison Butker kicks a late field goal to put this one out of reach.

Final Score Prediction: Chiefs: 27 | 49ers: 20

Chiefs vs 49ers Betting Trends

- Kansas City is 4-1 straight up in its last five games against San Francisco.
- The total has hit the over in 10 of Kansas City's last 14 games.
- San Francisco is 8-3 against the spread (ATS) in its last 11 games.
- The total has hit the under in eight of San Francisco's last nine games.

Chiefs vs 49ers Best Bet

The Chiefs know how important it is to keep pace with the Bills, especially considering Buffalo owns the head-to-head tiebreaker now. They are going to do whatever they can to win this game. Backing them on the moneyline is too expensive, but backing them to win by just a couple of points is perfect.

Kansas City is 5-1 against the spread (ATS) in its last six games against San Francisco and each of its four outright wins during that span came by at least 11 points. Head coach Andy Reid is going to be aiming to make a statement after falling short in Week 6, so don't be shocked if the Chiefs roll here.

Bet: Kansas City Chiefs -1.5 (-108)
