The Kansas City Chiefs will return to the playoffs for the eighth straight year following the 2022 season. KC clinched a playoff spot in Week 15, and fans are eager to know when the team will play following their regular-season finale.

Here's everything you need to know about the Chiefs' playoff schedule for the 2022-23 NFL postseason.

What Seed Are the Chiefs?

In Week 18, the Chiefs officially clinched the No. 1 seed in the AFC. They receive the lone bye in the Wild Card Round for the AFC. That means their first playoff game won't be until the Divisional Round. Nabbing the top seed also gives the Chiefs home-field advantage throughout the postseason.

There is, however, one scenario in which the Chiefs won't play a potential AFC Championship game at home. If the Bills also advance to the AFC Championship, the game will be played at a neutral site after Buffalo's Week 17 game was.

Who Will the Chiefs Play in the Playoffs?

Playoff matchups will officially be set once Week 18 concludes. Since the Chiefs clinched the No. 1 seed, they will sit out the Wild Card Round while the other six playoff teams in the AFC fight to advance. Kansas City is slated to first play at home in the Divisional Round against the lowest remaining seed in the AFC thanks to their spot as the top seed.
