Chiefs-Odell Beckham Jr. Rumors Continue to Swirl

Updated:

Contenders around the league are hoping to land free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. One team linked to OBJ over the past few weeks has been the Kansas City Chiefs, who could use a boost at WR for their upcoming playoff push.

The latest rumor shows there's continued interest from both parties in one another.

Odell Beckham Jr. Chiefs Rumors

Josina Anderson of CBS Sports reports Beckham has three free-agent visits lined up for December with the New York Giants, Buffalo Bills and Dallas Cowboys. However, Anderson also noted that "conversations continue" with Kansas City as well as the Baltimore Ravens.

Beckham joining the Chiefs would make a ton of sense for both sides. Kansas City provides an ideal landing spot for the three-time Pro Bowler, who'd fulfill his wish of playing for a contender and get a top quarterback throwing him the ball in Patrick Mahomes. KC's well-stocked offense also means OBJ wouldn't need to carry the load right away, giving him a stress-free situation as he returns from his second ACL tear.

Still, financial compensation will surely be a factor that influences Beckham's landing spot. It remains to be seen if the Chiefs' status as a clear-cut Super Bowl contender helps vault them to the top of OBJ's list of preferred destinations. Kansas City currently has the second-best Super Bowl odds (+450) on FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds.
