Week 5 of the 2022 NFL season includes a showdown between the Los Angeles Chargers and Cleveland Browns. After back-to-back losses, the Chargers finally got back into the win column with a 34-24 victory over the Houston Texans, led by running back Austin Ekeler's three-touchdown performance.

The Browns didn't have the same luck, on the other hand. Cleveland ended up losing a close one, 23-20, to the Atlanta Falcons. It wasn't all bad for the Browns, though, as Nick Chubb turned 19 carries into 118 rushing yards while finding the end zone once.

Both the Chargers and Browns haven't exactly met expectations this season, especially as far as defense is considered. Los Angeles is allowing 27.0 points per game (No. 30) while Cleveland is surrendering 23.8 PPG (No. 19). With both sides dealing with significant injuries to key defenders like Myles Garrett and Joey Bosa, this might come down to which offense steps up more.

I do trust Justin Herbert more to lead the Chargers to victory over Jacoby Brissett. While the Browns QB hasn't been bad, Herbert has already thrown for 400 more yards and four more touchdowns than him.

Defensive injuries should make this one relatively close, however, Herbert and the Chargers should prevail in the end.
