Chad Johnson Helped Orchestrate Joe Mixon's Hilarious Touchdown Celebration

Updated:

Joe Mixon and the Cincinnati Bengals got thrust into an unprecedented situation on Sunday. Despite already clinching the AFC North, their regular season finale against the Baltimore Ravens had elevated stakes. A Ravens' win meant the infamous coin toss to decide which team will hold home field advantage in the Wild Card round.

Of course, a Bengals' win would make the coin toss unneccesary.

Bengals players voiced their displeasure with the league's coin toss decision before kickoff, and Mixon took full advantage of an early opportunity to put the league on blast.

Mixon pulled out an epic celebration after his first quarter touchdown, taking out a coin from his sock and flipping it in the end zone.

The idea was not his own stroke of genius, however.

On Saturday, former Bengals star wideout (and the best touchdown celebrator in league history) Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson tweeted a message to Bengals players. "If you love me the way I love you guys when you score tomorrow someone has to flip a coin as their celebration.." said Johnson.

It's safe to assume Mixon saw this tweet, and took it to heart. Check out his celebration below.

Johnson made a name for his art of the TD celebration. It's prety cool to see his creativity is still having an impact on the NFL and Bengals' players today.
