2022 NBA Summer League Game
Boston Celtics (1-1) vs. Golden State Warriors (1-1)
Date: Tuesday, July 12, 2022
Time: 9 p.m. ET
Venue: Thomas & Mack Center — Las Vegas, NV
Coverage: ESPN

The Boston Celtics and Golden State Warriors square off in Las Vegas Summer League action on Tuesday. The Celtics are running on little rest after securing a 111-109 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday. Unfortunately, forward Matt Ryan went down with an injury while making the game-winning basket.

The Warriors also won their most recent game, winning a close-fought matchup, 86-85, against the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday. All eyes were on 2021 first-round pick Jonathan Kuminga that night as the 19-year-old led his team in points (28) and field goals made (10).

Celtics vs Warriors Prediction & Pick

There's no question that the Warriors have one of the stronger Summer League rosters this year. They're led by two certified NBA players in Kuminga and James Wiseman, plus Mac McLung is coming off his own 22-point performance. All in all, I just don't think that the Celtics have the players to keep up with Golden State.

With the NBA-level talent that could take part in this game, I can see the total reaching the over. I can also see the Warriors covering the 6.5-point spread if the likes of Kuminga and Wiseman play as advertised.
