The 2022-23 NBA season rolls on with eight matchups slated for Saturday, Dec. 10, including a 2021-22 NBA Finals rematch between the Boston Celtics (21-5) and Golden State Warriors (13-13).

The Celtics have been dominant all season and show no signs of stopping soon, picking up a 125-98 win over the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday. Needless to say, the visiting team will be a challenge for the Warriors, who are coming off a 124-123 loss to the Utah Jazz that same night.

Can the Celtics win their fourth straight game tonight? Or will the Warriors overcome their recent struggles to taste victory once again?

  • Boston is 8-1 against the spread (ATS) in its last nine games.
  • Golden State is 10-1 straight up in its last 11 home games.
  • The total has hit the under in each of Boston's last five road games.
  • The total has hit the under in nine of Golden State's last 10 home games against Boston.

Celtics vs Warriors Prediction & Pick

One reason why the Warriors have lost back-to-back games is that they haven't been able to defend the perimeter. They let both the Jazz and Indiana Pacers shoot a combined 30-of-74 from behind the arc (40.5%). Now, the Warriors must try to stop the Celtics, who lead the NBA in both threes made (16.6) and three-point percentage (40.0%).

Even if the Warriors defend the perimeter well, the Celtics can still do damage in the paint with names like Jayson Tatum, Grant Williams and Blake Griffin. That's not even to mention the fact that Golden State's offense must figure out how to get by a Boston defense that's held opponents to under 100 points in two of its last three games.

With the Celtics looking like a title contender while the Warriors struggle to find consistency, I'm going with Boston grabbing the road win.

Final Score Prediction: Celtics: 124 | Warriors: 117

Celtics vs Warriors Best Bet

Jayson Tatum's point total for tonight is set at 30.5 points and while he's been averaging that exact amount this season, don't count on him hitting it tonight. Tatum is "only" averaging 24.8 points over his last four games, being held to 30 or fewer points in three of those outings.

Furthermore, including the playoffs, Tatum hasn't hit over 30.5 points in any of his last eight games against the Warriors. Even with Golden State's recent struggles, I can still see them keeping the 24-year-old modest tonight/

Bet: Jayson Tatum Under 30.5 Points (-120)
