Date: Sunday, October 2, 2022
Time: 4:05 p.m. ET
Venue: Bank of American Stadium — Charlotte, NC
Two teams looking to get back to the .500 mark meet head-to-head in Week 4 action as the Carolina Panthers host the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals fell to the Los Angeles Rams by a score of 20-12 in Week 3 and averaged only 3.3 yards per carry. Quarterback Kyler Murray was constantly pressured.
Meanwhile, the Panthers earned their first victory of the season in a 22-14 defeat of the New Orleans Saints. Running back Christian McCaffrey paced the offense with 115 total yards 27 touches. The defense stole the show, though, as Derrick Brown and Jaycee Horn each logged an interception.

Cardinals vs Panthers Prediction & Pick
These two teams met in November of last season and it was the Panthers that emerged victorious on the road by a score of 34-10. However, Murray didn't suit up for that game and he is the leader of this Arizona offense. After all, the Pro Bowl talent has already guided one game-winning drive this season.
One trend is going to have to break here. Arizona is 0-6 straight up in its last six games against Carolina, but the Panthers are 1-9 straight up in their last 10 home games. If it comes down to the fourth quarter, give me Murray over Baker Mayfield every day. The Cardinals get the victory here.
Final Score Prediction: Cardinals: 24 | Panthers: 20

Cardinals vs Panthers Best Bet

The Cardinals and Panthers have shown that it takes time for them to get going on offense. In fact, Arizona is only averaging 4.3 first half points per game and Carolina is only averaging 8.7 first half points per game. Both of those marks rank among the bottom 10 teams in the NFL this year.
Overall, two of the Cardinals' first three games and two of the Panthers' first three games have hit the under in the first half. That total is set at 23 for this contest, meaning more than 3 touchdowns will need to be scored for the over to cash. That's asking a lot between two underwhelming offenses.
Bet: First Half Under 22.5 Points (-120)
