Cardinals vs Broncos Week 15 Game Info

Date: Sunday, Dec. 18, 2022
Time: 4:05 p.m. ET

Two teams in desperate need of a bounce back win meet head-to-head in Week 15 as the Arizona Cardinals visit the Denver Broncos. The Cardinals couldn't keep up in a 27-13 loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday as quarterback Kyler Murray suffered a knee injury on just the third play.

Meanwhile, the Broncos came close to pulling off a great upset in a 34-28 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 14. Denver fought back from a 27-0 hole to make it a one-possession game in the second half. Quarterback Russell Wilson tallied 3 passing touchdowns for the first time this season.

Cardinals vs Broncos Prediction & Pick

The latest report states there is "little doubt" that Murray tore his ACL, meaning he will not be able to play on Sunday. On the other side, Wilson had to leave late against the Chiefs with a concussion. His status is something worth monitoring through the week as he will have to pass NFL protocol to play.

I'll give the edge to the Cardinals here as Colt McCoy has played well in limited action this year. The 36-year-old has completed 69.4% of his passes for 702 yards and 1 touchdown (2 interceptions). Denver's defense is no joke, but the Broncos still average only 14.9 points per game (No. 32 in NFL).

A healthy Wilson would make a huge difference here, but he could be limited if he even plays at all.

Final Score Prediction: Cardinals: 17 | Broncos: 14

Cardinals vs Broncos Betting Trends

- Arizona is 2-4 against the spread (ATS) in its last six games.
- The total has hit the over in five of Arizona's last seven games.
- Denver is 9-1 straight up in its last 10 games against Arizona.
- The total has hit the under in five of Denver's last six home games.

Cardinals vs Broncos Best Bet

While the Broncos finally played in a shootout last week, it lines up as an outlier more than anything else. The total has hit the under in eight of Denver's last nine games as well as in five of their last six home games. The under has also cashed in seven of their last eight games against an NFC opponent.

As for the Cardinals, they are only averaging 15.7 points over their last three games and now face a Denver defense that gives up only 4.9 yards per play (No. 5 in NFL). Expect to see a lot of rushing play calls and stalled drives resulting in punts in this game. It will only take a few scores to win, anyways.

Bet: Under 36.5 Points (-110)
