Cardinals' Starting Quarterback for Monday Night Football Revealed

Updated:

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has been stuck on the team's injury report leading up to a Week 11 Monday Night Football clash against the San Francisco 49ers. The dual-threat QB missed Week 10 because of this same hamstring injury.

On Monday, NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported the Cardinals' plans at quarterback for Week 11's finale.

According to Rapoport, backup Colt McCoy "appears set to start" for the Cardinals on Monday night. Considering Murray has been limited all week, McCoy is "good to go."

McCoy filled in beautifully for the injured Murray last week. He went 26-for-37 while tossing 238 yards and 1 TD to 0 INTs. That was against a Rams defense that rates far worse than the 49ers.

San Francisco has one of the most intimidating defensive fronts in football. The 49ers have allowed the sixth-fewest points and 10th-fewest passing yards per game across the league.

For now, the Cardinals enter Week 11's clash as heavy 9.5-point home underdogs, according to NFL odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.
