Cardinals Reveal Full List of Spring Training Invitees

It may only be January, but MLB clubs are less than a month away from the official start to Spring Training. Baseball is back in the air, especially for the St. Louis Cardinals.
Not only is Spring Training a great opportunity for veterans and stars to reestablish their mechanics and shake off some rust, but it presents young players an important opportunity to grab ahold of a handful of roster spots potentially available.
The Cardinals, who report pitchers and catchers on Feb. 15, revealed their full list of Spring Training invitees. The list includes 22 non-roster players, or players not yet on the franchise's 40-man.
62 players, including the following 22 non-roster invitees, will be in big league camp for Spring Training.

The list is headlined by all three of St. Louis' top-30 prospects, including outfielder Jordan Walker, shortstop Masyn Winn and pitcher Gordon Graceffo. Walker is the biggest highlight of the three as many Cardinals' fans are hopeful he'll land on the Opening Day roster once Spring Training wraps.
Another interesting piece of St. Louis' Spring Training roster construction is the placement of six catchers. Willson Contreras was brought in to replace the future Hall of Famer Yadier Molina with starting duties, but the rest of St. Louis' catching depth chart is up in the air.
Andrew Knizner is the only other catcher listed on the active depth chart, but his .204/.292/.288 slash line leaves a need for more offense behind Contreras.
