Cameron Young RBC Heritage 2023 Odds, History & Prediction (Was Last Year's Performance a Fluke?)

Updated:

Just because The Masters is behind us doesn't mean the golf season is slowing down at all. Next up is the prestigious RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links.

Cameron Young is coming off an impressive performance down in Augusta that saw him finish T7 in the field. His four-day showing was highlighted by scores of 67 and 68 in the opening and closing rounds, respectively. Does he have what it takes to win it all in South Carolina this week?

Here's everything you need to know about Cameron Young's RBC Heritage odds and history at Harbour Town heading into the 2023 tournament.

Cameron Young RBC Heritage Prediction 2023

It only took Cameron Young one RBC Heritage performance to wow the Harbour Town crowd. The dynamic Scarborough, NY native opened the tournament with a 63 on the first day before closing out with a 66 in the final round. By the time the dust settled, he finished 12-under-par, good for third place.

Judging by Young's performance on the 2022-23 tour, he's in a great position for another solid showing. After all, he's tallied four top-20 finishes in his last five events. Though a T51 placement at THE PLAYERS Championship wasn't ideal, he's since rebounded as the runner-up at the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play before his T7 showing at the Masters.

Lacking driving accuracy (107th on Tour this season) hurts at Harbour Town, but Young makes up for that with great numbers in both Strokes Gained: Approach (17th) and GIR rate (32nd).

Although it's a small sample size, it's hard not to have high hopes for Young after his 2022 RBC Heritage performance. While he might not finish that high this time around, I easily see him cracking the top 20 (+110). He's been among the best golfers in recent weeks and that shouldn't change in South Carolina.
