There's no arguing Cam Newton's recent injury issues are a huge concern. However, the three-time Pro Bowl QB's proven track record of both regular-season and playoff success, makes it hard to believe he's still a free agent.

Cam Newton Playoff Wins

Despite being the last remaining notably unsigned QB in a free agent class that featured the likes of Andy Dalton, Newton still boasts more NFL playoff wins than half of the league's projected starting signal-callers have individually.

Spanning his eight NFL seasons of starting three or more games for Carolina, Newton led the Panthers to playoff appearances in four separate years with a 3-4 postseason record to show for it. That includes Carolina's run to Super Bowl 50 in the 2015 season, when the Panthers lost to Peyton Manning's Denver Broncos, 24-10.

Newton's three playoff victories probably don't look like much at first glance, but they are actually more than all but nine starting starting QBs can claim heading into the 2020 NFL season. That's a list that includes the likes of Jared Goff (2), Kirk Cousins (1), Dak Prescott (1) and none other than Newton's very own replacement in Carolina: Teddy Bridgewater (0).

Cam Newton Next Team Odds

The oddsmakers' ideas on Newton's next potential team have fluctuated at the same volatile rate as the ever-growing speculation behind why the former 2015 NFL MVP hasn't inked a contract with a new team since being released by the Panthers.

Yet, as the situation stands, the Washington Redskins – now helmed by Newton's former head coach with the Panthers Ron Rivera – are the betting favorites to land Cam with +300 odds, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
