Buccaneers vs Titans Preseason Game Info

2022 NFL Preseason Game
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-1) vs. Tennessee Titans (0-1)
Date: Saturday, August 20, 2022
Time: 7 p.m. ET
Venue: Nissan Stadium — Nashville, TN
Coverage: NFL Network

Week 2 of the NFL preseason includes a showdown between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tennessee Titans. Most of the Buccaneers' starters were absent in last week's 26-24 loss to the Miami Dolphins. Given how banged up some of Tampa Bay's players are, it wouldn't be shocking to see more key players being given rest.

On the other hand, the Titans are hoping to find more offense after being thumped, 23-10, by the Baltimore Ravens. Aside from scoring 10 points in the second quarter, the Titans were held off the scoreboard during the other three frames. Clearly, something needs to be different this week.

Buccaneers vs Titans Odds & Spread

Moneyline: TB: (+125) | TEN: (-134)
Spread: TB: +3 (-115) | TEN: -3 (-105)
Total: 39.5 — Over: (-105) | Under: (-115)

The Titans enter this contest as the favorite on the moneyline and the spread. This 7 p.m. ET clash also features a total of 39.5, which is about average as far as this week's NFL projected totals go.

Buccaneers vs Titans Prediction & Pick

Despite last week's loss, the Buccaneers have a lot to like. Even without most of their best players, they still finished with 389 total yards — 147 more than the Dolphins. Furthermore, the Bucs also possessed the ball for just over eight minutes more than their opponents, which is ominous for a Titans squad that barely produced anything when the ball was in their hands.

Meanwhile, the Titans' coaching staff is tough to trust following quarterback Malik Willis being prematurely pulled last week. The rookie signal-caller rushed for his team's lone touchdown but was pulled in favor of Logan Woodside, who played a major role in the Titans' loss after throwing two interceptions with a 33.7 passer rating.

Maybe that was just a one-off performance by the Titans, but it's still hard to like them after it. Considering that the Buccaneers nearly won without their best players, I could see Todd Bowles' squad getting the win.

Final Score Prediction: Buccaneers: 24 | Titans: 17

Judging by last week's performance, I like the Buccaneers upsetting the Titans at Nissan Stadium on Saturday. Going with the moneyline provides the most value here, so don't hesitate to take Tampa Bay at +125.

Bet: Buccaneers ML (+125)
