Week 12 of the 2022 NFL season includes an interconference matchup between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Cleveland Browns. This year has been a rough one for the Buccaneers, but they were hitting their stride before last week's bye, winning back-to-back games — including a 21-16 win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 10.

At the same time, it's been frustrating being a Browns fan. Kevin Stefanski's team has now lost six of their last seven outings, dropping to 3-7 following last week's 31-23 loss to the Buffalo Bills. Cleveland's season is slowly slipping past the point of no return, so a strong effort at home is needed.

Buccaneers vs Browns Odds & Spread

All NFL betting lines, odds and prop bets are from FanDuel Sportsbook.
Moneyline: TB: (-174) | CLE: (+146)
Spread: TB: -3.5 (-104) | CLE: +3.5 (-118)
Total: 42.5 —Over: (-104) | Under: (-118)

The Buccaneers enter this contest as clear favorites on the moneyline and spread on FanDuel Sportsbook's updated odds. This inter-conference clash also features an over/under of 42.5, which is on the lower end of the Week 12 totals.

Buccaneers vs Browns Prediction & Pick

The Buccaneers might be turning things around, but their offense has only averaged 18.5 points in their latest two victories. Fortunately for them, they have a juicy matchup against the Browns, who have given up 30-plus points in four of the last six games and also own the NFL's third-worst scoring defense overall (26.9 PPG).

Even after Browns QB Jacoby Brissett threw for 324 passing yards and three touchdowns last week, don't count on it happening again. That was the first time this season that the veteran signal-caller reached the 300-yard mark and his first time recording multiple TDs since Week 2.

Besides, the Buccaneers only allow 193.4 passing yards per game (No. 6). With Tampa Bay also owning the fifth-best run defense on the road, Tom Brady and the gang should get out of FirstEnergy Stadium with the victory.

Final Score Prediction: Buccaneers: 23 | Browns: 17

Buccaneers vs Browns Betting Trends

- Tampa Bay is 4-1 against the spread (ATS) in its last five games against Cleveland.
- Cleveland is 2-9 straight up in its last 11 games as the underdog.
- The total has hit the under in six of Tampa Bay's last seven road games.
- The total has hit the under in each of Cleveland's last five games against Tampa Bay.

Buccaneers vs Browns Best Bet

Even though I'm projecting the Buccaneers to win, they likely won't do so by a big margin. Each of Tampa Bay's last three wins has been won by a single possession, having beaten a team by more than 10 points just once this season. After the Browns kept things relatively close against the Bills last weekend, I can't see Tampa Bay winning this by more than just one or two possessions.

Bet: Buccaneers Win Margin – 1 to 13 Points (+140)
