Breeders' Cup 2022 Turf Picks at Keeneland on FanDuel Racing

The biggest races of the year are on Saturday, Nov. 5 for Day 2 of the 2022 Breeders' Cup at Keeneland.

The $4 million Longines Breeders' Cup Turf at 1 1/2 miles is Race 10, and one of nine Breeders' Cup races Saturday.

1. Mishriff and War Like Goddess, Race 10

Europeans just dominate this race and if they hail from the Aidan O’Brien, Charlie Appleby or John Gosden barns, move those horses up. The pace will be soft with Bye Bye Melvin (15/1) taking the lead and longshot Channel Maker (30/1) keeping him honest. The mare War Like Goddess (9/2) is the best chance for the US and has the goods to make an impact in the Exotics. She's a deep closer and strong stretch rider Joel Rosario could lead her to the upset.

Mishriff (6/1) is also a top win contender and offers value as a closer. This will be his last race before retiring to stud. Mishriff needs very firm ground to be at his best, and he finished second to Europe’s best (Baaeed) three races back.

Rebel's Romance (3/1) is also a top win contender and off-the-pace runner for trainer Charlie Appleby. The four-year-old gelding is in top form while finding easier Group 1 company in Germany and after switching to the turf.
