The Atlanta Braves are gearing up for their first taste of playoff baseball this year after earning a bye for the Wild Card round. Atlanta will look to start off on the right foot in Game 1 of the NLDS against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Ahead of their matchup on Tuesday, Braves manager Brian Snitker has revealed who will take the mound for his team.

Snitker said on Monday that Max Fried will start Game 1 at home against Philadelphia. Kyle Wright, meanwhile, will likely get the nod for Game 2 on Wednesday.

There are no real surprises here with the Braves' probables. Fried led this rotation in 2022, going 14-7 record and 2.48 ERA while earning the first All-Star nod of his career. He was 0-1 in four starts against the Phillies this season, but held them to three runs or fewer in every outing.

Wright would give Atlanta a strong follow-up to Fried, assuming he gets the Game 2 nod. The 27-year-old is coming off of a 2022 campaign where he led the majors in wins (21) and posted a 3.19 ERA in his first full season as a starter. He went 2-1 in three starts against Philly this year, giving up just six total runs across a combined 19.0 innings.

MLB odds on FanDuel Sportsbook like Atlanta's chances with Fried on the mound. The Braves are -180 moneyline favorites to win Game 1.
