The biggest story in the NFL right now is the Las Vegas Raiders deciding to bench longtime starter Derek Carr. Las Vegas' all-out dysfunction benefits the San Francisco 49ers, who will face the Raiders in Week 17.

Now Niners wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk has thrown some shade at Carr and teammate Davante Adams before these teams square off.

An Adams quote that said he wouldn't be in Las Vegas without Carr resurfaced after news of the latter's benching came out. Aiyuk then commented on an Instagram post featuring Adams' message, saying "Sit out this week, stand w yo guy!"

The San Francisco wideout is obviously having some fun at the Raiders' expense. It's hard to blame him considering how tragic Josh McDaniel and company have looked throughout the season.

Adams sitting out in Week 17 would certainly make life easier for the 49ers, but there's no indication of that happening. Instead, he'll now have to work on forming a connection with backup Jarrett Stidham, who is taking Carr's place as QB1.

With Stidham making his first career, San Francisco likely doesn't have much to worry about. The Niners are big 10-point road favorites against Las Vegas, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds.
