The MLB hot stove is piping hot with a flurry of free-agent signings announced over the past couple of days during the league's Winter Meetings in San Diego, CA.

The biggest move, of course, was the nine-year, $360 million pact between the New York Yankees and Aaron Judge. While that's easily the biggest contract signed this offseason and one of the largest ever, it's hardly the only big payday we've seen so far.

Check out a list of the biggest MLB free agency contracts thus far in the 2022-2023 offseason. We've not only ranked these contracts in terms of overall worth (years and total reported salary), but also listed the average annual value (AAV) each player will receive.

Judge's contract blows the others away in terms of total worth, but Verlander's $43.5 million AAV is at the top of this list. He's about to turn 40, which explains why the Mets were only willing to offer him a relatively short-term deal.

The Judge contract may also have Yankee fans wondering about the richest deals in franchise history. Below is a list of the top five New York contracts in terms of overall value.
