Best Same-Game Parlay for Timberwolves vs Lakers NBA Play-In Tournament Game

Updated:

The NBA Play-In Tournament continues on Tuesday night with an exciting Western Conference battle between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Los Angeles Lakers at 10 p.m. ET. There's a ton of ways to get in on the betting action, including making your own same-game parlay on FanDuel Sportsbook.

A same-game parlay is exactly what it sounds like. It involves stringing bets from one game together to create a parlay. Of course, all legs must cash in order for the parlay to be deemed a winning ticket. With that in mind, here's a look at my best same-game parlay for the Timberwolves-Lakers matchup.

Leg 1: Karl-Anthony Towns Over 10.5 Rebounds (-118)

The Timberwolves will be without Rudy Gobert and Naz Reid tonight, which is notable considering the two big men combined to log 16.5 rebounds per game on the year. The Timberwolves are going to need Karl-Anthony Towns to take on a bigger role in the rebounding department as a result. KAT is already averaging 8.1 boards per game and is should play around 40 minutes tonight, so expecting an increase in rebounds is not a stretch by any means. After all, the Lakers allow 52.5 rebounds per game (No. 20 in NBA) and Towns averages 11.1 rebounds across 22 games against LA in his career.

Leg 2: Anthony Davis 25+ Points (-220)

The aforementioned absence of Gobert is going to have more than just an impact in the rebounding department. It's going to leave a Minnesota squad that already allows 50.8 points in the paint per game (No. 17 in NBA) vulnerable down low. That benefits LA center Anthony Davis more than anyone else. Davis is averaging 25.9 points per game on the season, but that number jumps all the way up to 38.0 when looking at his two games against the Timberwolves. Keep in mind both of these teams also play at a pace that ranks among the top-10 fastest in the NBA, meaning there will be ample opportunities to score the basketball.

Leg 3: LeBron James 3+ Made Threes (-120)

Backing LeBron James when the season is on the line is something bettors have been cashing in on throughout his entire career. This is a veteran All-Star who averages 28.7 points on a 49.5% shooting percentage across 266 career playoff games. James has become a sharpshooter as of late, draining at least a trio of three-pointers in each of his last four games. He is shooting a reliable 48.6% from beyond the arc during that span and now gets to face a Minnesota defense that ranks 24th in opponent three-point percentage (36.9%). A lack of size down low and a lack of physicality along the perimeter is going to cause a lot of issues for the Timberwolves.
