3 Best Prop Bets for Stars vs Kraken NHL Playoffs Game 6 on May 13 (Roope Hintz Steps Up in Pivotal Matchup)

Updated:

Saturday's slate of NHL postseason games includes a Game 6 showdown between the Dallas Stars and Seattle Kraken. FanDuel Sportsbook's latest NHL odds list the Stars as the -160 moneyline favorite on the road with the projected total set at 5.5 goals.

Here are three of the best NHL player prop bets for the Stars vs Kraken game, courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook.

Kraken vs Stars Player Props

1. Roope Hintz — Shots on Goal: Over 2.5 (-120)

Stars forward Roope Hintz has heated as the series goes on, tallying five points (three goals, two assists) over the last two games. While he's finished with the under on this prop in both contests, I see that changing in Game 6. For starters, Hintz is averaging 2.9 shots per game during the playoffs, slightly above tonight's projection. He also finished with the over in four consecutive outings before Game 4. With the Stars having an opportunity to advance this evening, I expect Hintz to be at the top of his game, generating as much offense as possible to help eliminate the Kraken.

2. Jared McCann — Any Time Goal Scorer (+195)

After scoring a career-high 40 goals during the regular season, the Kraken's Jared McCann experienced a slow start to the playoffs due to injury. Fortunately, he seemingly broke out of the funk with his first goal of the postseason in Game 5. Once he gets going, McCann can be tough to stop, highlighted by his scoring in consecutive games 16 times during the regular campaign. The Kraken desperately need their top scorer to show up if they want to force a Game 7 and with McCann's history of coming up at the right time, I won't be shocked if he finds the twine in back-to-back outings.

3. Evgenii Dadonov — Assists: Over 0.5 (+225)

Although his best days are seemingly behind him, Evgenii Dadonov has been solid for the Stars in the playoffs, racking up eight points in 11 games. Four of those points have come from assists, three of which came from the two games already played in Seattle. Dadonov now has seven assists in his last 10 road contests, finishing with the Over on this prop in each of the last three. With the Stars scoring five-plus goals in the last two outings, I don't see the offense drying up any time soon, meaning Dadonov should see plenty of opportunities to set up his teammates. At +225 odds, taking the Over here is an absolute steal.
