3 Best Prop Bets for Lakers vs Warriors NBA Game on FanDuel Sportsbook (Oct. 18)

Updated:

The 2022-23 NBA season tips off on Tuesday with a pair of exciting games. One of those matchups features the Los Angeles Lakers vs Golden State Warriors in a contest that features plenty of star power.

Here's three of the best prop bets for the Lakers-Warriors game, courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook'sNBA odds.

Lakers vs Warriors Player Props

1. Jordan Poole - Points: Over 18.5 (-104)

Tuesday presents Jordan Poole the first opportunity to put his recent drama behind him. He gets just the opponent to make everyone talk about him for the right reasons in the Lakers. Los Angeles was one of the league's worst defensive teams in 2021-22, allowing the third-most points per game. Poole took advantage of this matchup throughout the year, scoring at least 19 points in three of four games against the Lakers, including a whopping 11 made threes combined in those outings. Steve Kerr recently said the Warriors' starters aren't ready to play 30-plus minutes yet, so Poole should be very busy as one of his team's top scoring options.

2. LeBron James - Rebounds: Over 7.5 (-138)

LeBron James enters the year once again as the Lakers' leading man. With several new pieces in the mix, James will be leaned upon to do it all, and that includes setting the tone on the boards. He's more than up to the task after averaging 8.2 rebounds per game last season. He especially had success against Golden State in 2021-22, recording an impressive 10 rebounds in each of their four matchups. The Lakers' lacking frontcourt depth, coupled with a slightly reduced dose of Draymond Green and Kevon Looney, should open up the opportunity for James to dominate on the glass.

3. Stephen Curry - Made Threes: Under 4.5 (-154)

Though LA was one of the league's worst 3-point defenses last season, they made it a priority to stop Stephen Curry from deep. Curry went under this total in each of his three games versus the Lakers last year, recording just seven makes on 25 attempts (28.0%). With Kerr expecting to lean on his depth, it's likely Curry isn't relied upon to light it up from 3-point range, which could lead to a quieter night than he's capable of. The fact he could play less than 30 minutes makes the under even more appealing.
