3 Best Prop Bets for Kraken vs Stars NHL Playoffs Game 7 on May 15 (Can Dallas Shut Matty Beniers Down?)

Updated:

Monday's slate of NHL postseason games includes a Game 7 showdown between the Seattle Kraken and Dallas Stars. FanDuel Sportsbook's latest NHL odds list the Stars as the -210 moneyline favorite at home with the projected total set at 5.5 goals.

Here are three of the best NHL player prop bets for the Kraken-Stars game, courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook.

Kraken vs Stars Player Props

1. Matty Beniers — Shots on Goal: Under 1.5 (-106)

Matty Beniers has been solid in his first-ever postseason, racking up seven points in 13 games. Having said that, the Kraken rookie isn't exactly generating too many offensive opportunities, averaging just 1.7 shots per game. Although that's above his project shot total for Game 7, Beniers has failed to record multiple shots on goal in four of his last five games — including the last three in a row. Even worse, he's tallied only one shot on net in the last two games played in Dallas. With the Stars knowing how to slow him down, look for Beniers to finish with the under here.

2. Jason Robertson — Any Time Goal Scorer (+140)

After racking up a career-high 46 goals during the regular season, Jason Robertson has only found the back of the net twice in 12 postseason games. He's gone seven straight games without a goal and while that may diminish some hockey enthusiasts' faith, I have confidence that he can score. It's not like Robertson hasn't been trying to score, averaging 2.6 shots per game during his drought. Furthermore, between the regular season and playoffs, 30 of his 48 total goals have come at American Airlines Center. The Stars need all hands on to advance to the Western Conference Finals, so look for Robertson to rise to the occasion.

3. Yanni Gourde — Record 1+ Point (+112)

Yanni Gourde has been phenomenal during the playoffs, racking up a personal-high 12 points in 13 contests. He's shown up more often than not when the Kraken need him, only failing to record a point four times thus far. In other words, there's a good chance that Gourde shows up again tonight. He's tallied six points in as many games this series and was only held off the scoresheet in Game 4. If the Kraken are to live to see another day, Gourde showing up is a necessity.
