3 Best Prop Bets for Knicks vs Magic on March 23 (Knicks Take Commanding Lead Early)

Updated:

The New York Knicks take on the Orlando Magic for the third time this season, with New York hoping to sweep the season series on Thursday night. The Knicks are coming off a tough loss to the Miami Heat on Wednesday night, so this visit to Orlando is a welcomed rebound opportunity for New York.

Let's take a look at three prop bets to consider for tonight's game.

Knicks vs Magic Prop Bets

1. Julius Randle Under 3.5 Made 3-Pointers (-170)

Julius Randle had a career night just two games ago against Minnesota, knocking down 8 threes en route to a 57-point performance. That game was a clear aberration, however, as it was his only time with over 3.5 made threes in his last eight games. In fact, he doesn't even have multiple threes in three of his last four games. Orlando is also really solid at defending the perimeter, ranking No. 8 in the NBA in opponents' 3-point percentage (35.3%). Randle should have a good game, but don't expect it to come from behind the arc.

2. RJ Barrett Over 20.5 Points+Assists (-125)

RJ Barrett has leveled up his game in the second half of the season and comes into this game hitting the over on this prop in four of his last five contests. Orlando also ranks No. 24 in the NBA in opponent assists per game, surrendering 26.0 per night. Barrett averages 19.9 points and 2.7 assists per game, so just a normal night for RJ hits this over. His recent stretch gives me even more confidence here, too.

3. Knicks First Half Spread -1.5 (-110)

The Knicks have been one of the better scoring teams in the first half this season, ranking No. 7 in the NBA despite ranking just 13th in total points per game. Closing games out has been more of the Knicks' troubles this year. Orlando, on the other hand, struggles in the first half, ranking No. 27 in the NBA in first-half points -- more than three points worse on average than New York.
