Best Kicker for Fantasy Football: 2022 Kicker Rankings

Updated:

Top Kicker for Fantasy Football

Kickers are mostly an afterthought in fantasy football. That especially goes for drafts, when some managers bypass the position entirely to take an extra dart throw on a depth piece or handcuff candidate prior to Week 1.

Still, grabbing a top kicking option means avoiding the headache of streaming the position on a weekly basis. Current average draft position (ADP) data on FantasyPros shows kickers being late-round choices at best, though it can be daunting to sift through the plethora of names that'll likely be available then.

The Duel is here to help. Check out our 2022 fantasy football rankings for kickers.

Fantasy Football Kicker Rankings 2022

16. Younghoe Koo, Atlanta Falcons

15. Greg Joseph, Minnesota Vikings

14. Mason Crosby, Green Bay Packers

13. Jonathan Garibay, Dallas Cowboys

12. Jake Elliott, Philadelphia Eagles

11. Robbie Gould, San Francisco 49ers

10. Dustin Hopkins, Los Angeles Chargers

9. Matt Prater, Arizona Cardinals

8. Brandon McManus, Denver Broncos

7. Daniel Carlson, Las Vegas Raiders

Daniel Carlson earned the kicker crown in 2021 after racking up the most fantasy points (162) at the position. Carlson paced his peers in field goal attempts (43) and makes (40) as the Las Vegas Raiders succeed to move the ball down the field but struggled to finish drives with touchdowns. The latter led Carlson to attempt just 33 extra points (No. 20) in 2021. Las Vegas' acquisition of Davante Adams, though, makes this an electric unit. Being attached to this high-powered offense bodes extremely well for Carlson in 2022.

6. Evan McPherson, Cincinnati Bengals

5. Ryan Succop, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

4. Matt Gay, Los Angeles Rams

3. Justin Tucker, Baltimore Ravens

Justin Tucker remained one of the league's best at the position in 2021. He finished tied for the sixth-most fantasy points among kickers last season as a key part of the Baltimore Ravens' weekly scoring output. Tucker showed off his leg with a 66-yard, record-setting bomb in Week 3 last year, but he was also deadly accurate, posting the highest FG% (94.6) among kickers with at least 20 attempts. Assuming Baltimore gets back to its preferred run-heavy attack after injuries hurt them last season, Tucker should remain one of the busiest kickers on the market.

2. Tyler Bass, Buffalo Bills

1. Harrison Butker, Kansas City Chiefs

Playing on an aggressive, touchdown-hunting offense has certainly hurt Harrison Butker. He's posted his two worst seasons fantasy-wise in back-to-back years, finishing No. 9 in 2021 and falling to No. 11 last year. He's only managed to make 25 field goals in each of those seasons, preventing him from really showing off his leg. However, this is a kicker that also finished No. 1 in fantasy scoring in 2019 and tied for No. 3 in 2018. He has that top-tier potential, and his numbers could bounce back as the Chiefs employ a more well-rounded passing attack this year.
