Week 8 of the 2022 NFL season includes an AFC North showdown on Halloween night as the Cincinnati Bengals visit the Cleveland Browns. After an 0-2 start to the year, the Bengals have now won four of their last five wins, including last week's 35-17 victory over the Atlanta Falcons.

The Browns haven't experienced that kind of success though. In fact, it's been the opposite. Cleveland's 23-20 loss to the Baltimore Ravens last week marked the organization's fourth consecutive loss, indicating that things must be turned around before the season is completely lost.

Bengals vs Browns Odds & Spread

All NFL betting lines, odds and prop bets are from FanDuel Sportsbook.
Moneyline: CIN: (-196) | CLE: (+164)
Spread: CIN: -3.5 (-110) | CLE: +3.5 (-110)
Total: 47 —Over: (-110) | Under: (-110)

The Bengals enter this contest as clear favorites on the moneyline and spread on FanDuel Sportsbook's updated odds. This AFC North clash also features a total of 47, which is among the highest of the Week 8 totals.

Bengals vs Browns Prediction & Pick

The Browns' have gotten the better of this AFC North rivalry, winning seven of their last eight games against the Bengals. Having said that, Cleveland has been dreadful this year, especially as far as defense is concerned, giving up 26.6 points per game (tied for fourth-worst).

An inconsistent defense could spell bad news for the Browns on Monday. The Bengals average the seventh-most points in the NFL this season and have just scored at least 27 in four of their last five games. Considering how Cleveland also allows the seventh-most passing yards at home, Cincinnati's Joe Burrow-led passing attack should see a ton of success.

The Bengals' defense is also giving up the seventh-fewest passing yards this season. The Browns have been held to 20 or fewer points in three of their last four games, meaning Cincinnati's defenders should be able to do their job as long as the offense gets a decently sized lead early on.

It's difficult to trust the Browns at this stage of the season. While I expect a competitive battle due to Cleveland having the home-field advantage, this is the Bengals' game to lose.

Final Score Prediction: Bengals: 28 | Browns: 17

Bengals vs Browns Betting Trends

- Cincinnati is 12-3 against the spread (ATS) in its last 15 games against Cleveland.
- Cleveland is 4-13 ATS in its last 17 games against the AFC North.
- The total has hit the under in 10 of Cincinnati's last 12 games.
- The total has hit the over in five of Cleveland's last seven games.

Bengals vs Browns Best Bet

Even though the Browns have won lately more often than not in this rivalry, it's the Bengals who are 12-3 against the spread in the last 15 meetings. With Cincinnati heating up at the right time this season while Cleveland is in the middle of a downward spiral, I'm backing the Bengals to cover the spread.

Bet: Bengals -3.5 (-110)
