Week 2 of the 2022 NFL season includes a showdown between the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers. People underestimated the Bears against the San Francisco 49ers but they proved them wrong, leaving Week 1 with a 19-10 win. It was a hard-fought win as Chicago had to battle constant rain and harsh field conditions.

Meanwhile, the Packers left a lot to be desired after dropping their opening game, 23-7, to the Minnesota Vikings. Aaron Rodgers didn't look like his usual self under center, averaging just 5.7 yards on 22 completions to finish with just 195 passing yards and an interception.

This 8:20 p.m. ET clash also features a total of 41.5, which is one of the week's lowest totals after dropping a point from the opening line.

Bears vs Packers Prediction & Pick

Rodgers looked absolutely lost without former No. 1 wideout Davante Adams in Week 1. It didn't help that the banged-up offensive line allowed him to get sacked four times. It just didn't look like the Green Bay offense that fans have come to know over the years and if things don't change, beating the Bears won't be as easy as the odds imply.

Did the Bears look like contenders last week? No, but they played solid football in the second half, outscoring the 49ers by a score of 19-3. With Green Bay dealing with several notable injuries, the door is open for Chicago to make things closer than expected.

At the end of the day, I expect Rodgers to figure things out and lead the Packers to a win. The final score will be closer than expected, but I'm confident in the man who's won six straight games against the Bears, as well as 22 of his 27 career meetings against the NFC North rival.

Bears vs Packers Best Bet

Even though recent the Packers have performed well against the Bears on the spread, I'm unsure if that trend will continue. Neither Green Bay's offense nor defense looked impressive last week, giving me a tough time trusting Matt LaFleur's team to win by 11 or more points when they could only score seven against the Vikings.

As mentioned before, I expect the Packers to win, but I like the Bears keeping things close.
