Date: Sunday, Nov. 27, 2022
Time: 1:00 p.m. ET
Venue: MetLife Stadium — East Rutherford, NJ

The New York Jets will look to get back in the win column when they host the Chicago Bears in Week 12 NFL action. The Bears have now dropped three straight games by a field goal or less, including a 27-24 loss to the Atlanta Falcons in Week 11. Quarterback Justin Fields nabbed his seventh rushing touchdown.

Meanwhile, the Jets' offense failed to match the defense in a 10-3 loss to the New England Patriots in Week 11. It was the the fifth straight game in which New York gave up 17 points or less. That effort was put to waste thanks to quarterback Zach Wilson's rough day, though (9-of-22, 77 passing yards).

Moneyline: CHI: (+240) | NYJ: (-295)
Spread: CHI: +6.5 (-105) | NYJ: -6.5 (-115)
Total: 38.5 — Over: (-104) | Under: (-118)

Updated (Sunday, Nov. 27, 10:30 a.m. EST): Although the Jets won't be playing with their starting quarterback, neither will the Bears. Justin Fields is trending towards not playing and the odds swayed further in New York's favor as a result. The Jets are now 6.5-point favorites while the over/under dropped to 38.5 points.

The Jets enter this contest as a small home favorite on the moneyline and the spread. This 1 p.m. ET clash also features one of the lower totals on the Week 12 slate at 39.5 points.

Bears vs Jets Prediction & Pick

Jets fans had to be frustrated watching their favorite team come out of the bye week looking utterly confused on offense. New York logged more punts (10) than completions (9) and averaged a dismal 2.1 yards per play. The good news is that all can be forgotten with a Week 12 victory against Chicago.

The Bears have posted the third-worst total DVOA rating in the league and are giving up 31.0 points per game over the last three weeks (No. 32 in NFL). There's only so much Fields can do when he is being forced to score on every possession. Chicago is also 1-5 straight up on the road this season.

Whether it is Zach Wilson or Joe Flacco at QB, the Jets should emerge victorious here.

Final Score Prediction: Bears: 17 | Jets: 24

Bears vs Jets Betting Trends

- Chicago is 5-0 straight up in its last five games against the Jets.
- The total has hit the over in each of Chicago's last five games.
- The Jets are 5-2 against the spread (ATS) in their last seven games.
- The total has hit the under in eight of the Jets' last 10 games against Chicago.

Bears vs Jets Best Bet

The Jets have an opportunity to grab an early lead in this game and never look back. Their defense is allowing just 4.0 yards per carry (No. 6 in NFL), which should help limit the impact of both Fields and running back David Montgomery. New York has also posted the fifth-best pass defense DVOA rating.

This is a game in which the Jets may only need to score two of three touchdowns to come out on top. Any QB should be able to accomplish that against this Bears defense. Keep in mind New York is 5-2 against the spread (ATS) in their last seven games, while Chicago is 2-4 ATS in its last six games.

Bet: New York Jets -4.5 (-115)
