Los Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler cemented his place as the starter in LA's backfield with the departure of Melvin Gordon this offseason, and it certainly looks like his body is ready for the challenge at hand.
Ekeler is officially listed at 5-foot-10-inches tall and 200 pounds, but judging by this photo of him, that has almost certainly changed this offseason.
Ekeler stepped up admirably as the RB1 in LA's backfield during Gordon's absence from a holdout last season, totaling a whopping 1,550 yards from scrimmage, with 92 receptions and 11 total TDs.
Not too bad for someone who was just supposed to be the backup running back ahead of last season.
But if this picture is any indication, Ekeler could be poised for an even better campaign in 2020.
