Auburn vs Florida Prediction & Pick

Playing good defense can lead to a ton of wins in college basketball and Auburn is proving that. The Tigers rank 20th in defensive efficiency and 34th in opponent points per game (62.1). That number drops to 60.3 opponent points per game when the Tigers are on their home court at Neville Arena.

On the other side, Florida can't seem to link together more than two wins or so in a row due to their tendency to falter when on the road. The Gators shoot 44.6% from three-point range in home games, but only 27.4% in away games. They also average nearly 10 less points per game when on the road.

Auburn is riding a 10-game home winning streak, so I'll back the Tigers with confidence in this one.

Final Score Prediction: Auburn: 72 | Florida: 62

Auburn vs Florida Best Bet

This is an SEC rivalry that has been dominated by Florida as of late, so shifting gears to the point total is a much safer option. Both of these teams excel on the defensive end and are allowing less than 68.0 points per game on the season.

The total has hit the under in five of Florida's last six games overall as well as in six of its last seven games against Auurn. In fact, 12 of the last 15 matchups between the Tigers and Gators have seen less than 141 points put on the scoreboard. This total is listed just a bit too high on Wednesday night.

Bet: Under 140.5 Points (-114)
