ASUN Tournament Prediction

The odds suggest that this is likely a two-team race between Liberty and Jacksonville State. It makes sense given both teams finished the regular season with at least 20 wins and simply took care of business in conference play. The edge has to go to the Gamecocks here, though.

These two teams faced off against one another for the first time ever back on January 22 and Jacksonville State grabbed the road win by a score of 77-67. The Gamecocks are in the midst of a four-game winning streak and have five players on the roster averaging 9.0 points per game or more.

Meanwhile, the Flames have hobbled to the finish line, losing games down the stretch to both North Florida and Florida Gulf Coast. One bad game from guard Darius McGhee (24.7 points per game) could easily land Liberty on the wrong side of an upset in this tournament.

Jacksonville State is worth a shot at plus odds to make their second March Madness appearance of all-time.
