Argentina's men's national soccer team is finally back in the FIFA World Cup for the 13th consecutive tournament. Argentina officially kicks off its run with a match against Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, the first of three for La Albiceleste versus Group C opponents.

Argentina World Cup Appearances
This year marks the 18th all-time appearance for the Argentinian men's national soccer team. Argentina previously qualified for this tournament in 1930, 1934, 1958, 1962, 1966, 1974, 1978, 1982, 1986, 1990, 1994, 1998, 2002, 2006, 2010, 2014 and 2018.
La Albiceleste's appearance in 2018 was its most recent prior to this year, however, the Argentinians failed to make it beyond the Round of 16 for the first time since 2002.
The 2026 World Cup will be Argentina's 19th appearance if the country qualifies.

The Argentinian men's national soccer team has been a consistent presence at the World Cup since the tournament's inception. Argentina is tied with France and Uruguay for the fourth-most tournament wins with two, having taken home the gold in 1978 and 1986.
