It's no surprise Amen Thompson is one of the most highly sought after youngsters ahead of the draft. His physical tools are almost unmatched for a guard at 6' 7" and with a 7' wingspan, which should make him a matchup nightmare against smaller backcourts at the next level. He combines that size with elite athleticism (reported 44-inch vertical) and a serious knack for playmaking to create a dynamic threat on the court.

All of these advantages helped Thompson post a very productive second year for Overtime Elite's City Repears. The guard averaged 16.4 points, 5.9 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game over 16 contests as one of the Reapers' top options. He put his length to use as well, disrupting passing lanes en route to an average of 2.3 steals per game.

Thompson doesn't come without a few question marks, though. Teams will wonder about his production after he bypassed college and faced inferior competition at Overtime Elite. Even more concerning, though, is Thompson being a liability as a shooter. He posted a dismal 25.0% from 3-point range this past season and only a 65.6% clip from the free throw line. His development in this area is his biggest need if he's to truly reach his superstar potential.

Overall, Thompson is a tantalizing prospect with legit All-NBA upside. His lack of shooting as a guard takes him out of the top pick conversation, and he has the disadvantage of being in a vaunted class, but he won't have to wait long to hear his name called on draft night. The Houston Rockets make the most sense as a landing spot with this year's top three likely already locked in. Thompson would add another exciting young player to the rebuilding Rockets' core of Jalen Green, Jabari Smith Jr. and Alperen Sengun.
