Caceres vs Pineda Prediction

Alex Caceres has gone through every up and down there is since making his UFC debut back in 2011. His results have only gotten better with age, though, as he enters Saturday night having won six of his last seven bouts. The 34-year-old most recently took down Julian Erosa via KO/TKO in December.

Daniel Pineda lines up similarly to Caceres in the aspect that he made his UFC debut back in 2012. Where the two differ is in the fact that Pineda's last two fights were separated by a margin of nearly two years (injuries). He returned to the octagon in March to take down Tucker Lutz via submission.

Pineda's comeback is a great story, but he runs into a beast on Saturday night. Caceres averages more significant strikes landed per minute (4.16), less significant strikes absorbed per minute (2.92) and possesses a better takedown defense rate than Pineda. He's a heavy favorite here for a reason.

I expect a lengthy fight between two fighters with vast experience when it comes to battling inside the octagon.
