Tracking the Odell Beckham free agency rumors has basically been a full-time job all season, as every week we seem to get new updates with nothing concrete coming to fruition. As usual it's ESPN's Adam Schefter finally providing some clarity with the inside scoop on the situation.

Unfortunately for fans of two teams, blissful ignorance of the facts was probably more fun than the truth. Beckham wants to sign with a legitimate contender, and Schefter reports that this has removed both the Green Bay Packers and a Los Angeles Rams reunion from OBJ's consideration.

Both are teams that could really use Beckham's help. The Packers' continued refusal to surround Aaron Rodgers with weapons is clearly catching up with them as Rodgers is currently posting his second-lowest passer rating since he took over as the starter back in 2008. The Rams' need is also clear, with Cooper Kupp underdoing surgery on a high-ankle sprain.

Beckham isn't looking to play savior, though, and the Packers' 4-7 and rams' 3-6 records take them out of consideration.

Out of the five teams he is considering, the Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers already all rank top-four in FanDuel Sportsbook's Super Bowl odds. The Dallas Cowboys (seventh) and New York Giants (14th) are in the conversation too.

For comparison, the Green Bay Packers check in at 17th (+11000) and Los Angeles Rams are 19th (+14000). An upgrade at wide receiver isn't going to turn either one into a contender, and Beckham knows it.
