Adam Schefter Provides New Update on Kareem Hunt Trade Drama

Updated:

Having requested a trade in August, Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt has been one of the biggest names floating around in rumors as Tuesday's NFL trade deadline approaches.

There hasn't been any updated from the Browns as to whether he's available on the trade block or not, but ESPN's Adam Schefter has broken the news that they are absolutely willing to trade Hunt.

This makes a lot of sense, and it would almost be silly for the Browns to not trade Hunt. He's unhappy in Cleveland, he's going to be a free agent at the end of the season and Cleveland is just 2-5. Hunt isn't going to be a difference maker for whether they make the playoffs or not, and if he plays out the season they'll just lose him for no return.

The Los Angeles Rams and Philadelphia Eagles have both reportedly called to inquire about Hunt, so for now they appear to be the two frontrunners for landing spots.

As a team with just +2200 odds to win the AFC North (per FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds), the Browns should recoup any value they can for Hunt.
