It's not hard to see why the Aces are massive favorites in their season-opening contest. After all, they're the defending WNBA Champions and have a stacked roster led by the dynamic duo of Kelsey Plum and A'ja Wilson, who paced Las Vegas with 20.2 and 19.5 points per game, respectively, in 2022.

The Aces also didn't break much of a sweat against the Storm last season. The two sides collided eight times between the regular season and playoffs, resulting in six wins for Las Vegas. on top of that, the Aces beat the Storm by an average of 8.3 points across the half-dozen victories.

Even though I expect the Aces to win with relative ease, I don't see the 14.5-point spread being covered. While Las Vegas beat Seattle six times in 2022, none of those wins came by a margin of 15-plus points. In fact, Becky Hammon's team only beat the Storm by double digits just twice in the eight previous matchups.

Even with the Aces being 7-3 ATS in their last 10 encounters with the Storm, I just don't see today's final result being that big of a blowout.
