Abraham Ancer PGA Championship Prediction 2023

Abraham Ancer has only taken part in one PGA Tour event this season and it was the Masters, where he posted a T39 finish. He has spent the rest of his time in the LIV Golf circuit. It's an environment Ancer has thrived in considering he has tallied five top-40 finishes across six different invitationals.

Now Ancer will look to make his presence felt at the PGA Championship. This is a tournament he has played well in before, posting three top-20 finishes and two top-10 finishes across only four outings. A lackluster back half kept him from truly competing for the title when he finished T9 last year (-1).

Backing Ancer to make the cut (-118) seems like a steal, especially given the course he is playing on. Oak Hill is known for its smaller greens, which stresses the importance of landing a solid shot onto the fairway. Ancer finished 29th in Strokes Gained: Off the Tee in 2021-22 before leaving for LIV Golf.
